TIMETABLE + CLASS STYLES

We have lots of classes on offer at Blithe, these can loosely be separated into YANG (dynamic and energetic) styles and YIN (restful and restorative) styles, as well as a mix of both which we call YANG + YIN styles. We want make sure our classes can be taught to all levels, but complete beginners to yoga and movement should try Hatha, Embodied Flow, Flow + Restore, Sunday Slow Jams and Yin + Restore.

CREATIVE FLOW YOGA

YANG + YIN styled class.

Creative Flow Yoga is a freeing space to enjoy the movement of your unique body. Experiment, explore and feel your way through the poses. Move in non-linear ways. Pulsate or hold. Try an arm balance or take flight. This is less about holding poses and more about exploring the spaces in between them.

COMMUNITY YOGA: WOMEN’S ONLY YOGA

YANG + YIN styled class.

At Blithe Yoga we believe yoga should be accessible to everyone. In our Community Yoga: Women's Only Yoga class we aim to create a space where women can move with privacy, comfort and modesty should you want to. Our community class prices are also half the cost of our typical classes to make them as affordable as we can. The class will be open to all women and is suitable for all levels from beginner to advanced, classes are small and personal.

EMBODIED FLOW

YANG styled class.

Through an integrative blend of hatha yoga, somatics, movement meditations, tantric philosophy, and transpersonal psychology, Embodied Flow elicits the experience of stepping into flow as meditation in action.

Suitable for all. Embodied Flow aims to deliver its practitioners a sense of agency as they discover their own innate capacity to step into a life that is in flow.

FLASH MEDITATION

YIN styled class.

Need to quiet the mind? Not sure how? Join Lexi and Norah, the mother and daughter duo in a special class where we teach you how to sit comfortably and breathe for some mindfulness and meditation. No prior experience necessary. We're just here to introduce you to the gentle art of sitting, and being with your breath in a serene space for 45 minutes.

FLOW + RESTORE

YANG + YIN styled class.

This class offers an uplifting and powerful flow followed by a nourishing restorative practice. Move consciously and thoughtfully, giving the body a chance to activate, strengthen and energise so that we can release it into a deep relaxation. This class is open to everyone.

HATHA YOGA

YANG styled class.

In this Hatha style class, enjoy a slow flow which brings the element of time into the practice. Students will have the time to mentally engage with the body, as it moves through a series of postures (asanas). Suitable for those beginning their yoga journey as well as those on a well trodden path.

PREGNANCY YOGA

YANG + YIN styled class.

Become confident, relaxed and trust in your body's natural instinct to birth. In this class, flow and move while you connect with your babies, deeply relax and meet other mamas to be. Suitable for women at 14 weeks + (or after first scan).

RISE + SHINE

YANG styled class.

Wake up well with some sun salutations to greet the sun and start your day with some energising gentle vinyasa flow. The purpose of yoga is to still the mind, so a morning yoga practice can quiet that mental chatter for more clarity, boost your heart rate and feel the endorphins so you can start the day feeling ready for the rest of your day.

This class must be booked 10:30pm the previous night.

TRADITIONAL HATHA

YANG styled class.

Hatha can be translated in two ways “forceful” or the “yoga of activity” but also as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of balance. Union of mind, body and spirit. The practice involving breath, body and mind. In this class we visit a more traditional style of practice with a Dharma talk to start (yoga philosophy), mantras (chants) to begin and end the class as well as pranayama (breath work) and asana (posture work) practice.

Leading this class is the very fantastic Ramila Patel, who is an advanced yoga teacher and wellness instructor.

VINYASA FLOW YOGA

YANG styled class.

Flow through a series of asanas (postures) and work up a sweat in a vinyasa yoga class. Uplifting and energising, vinyasa flow yoga will help you to tone, build strength and flexibility, and experience greater mental clarity and focus.

YIN + RESTORE

YIN styled class.

In this slower class that focus on ease of movement within the body. With longer holds in postures for with the aid of blocks, straps and bolsters, Yin + Restore Yoga combines the Yin postures which target the deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. As well as the restful supported poses of Restorative yoga. Both are designed to calm the mind and nervous system, whilst gently toning the body in a form of slow moving meditation.

YIN and YANG styled class.

Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to the path of self-discovery, our Yoga, Breathwork + Meditation class offers a nurturing space for you to explore, unwind, and cultivate a deeper connection with yourself. This 90min deep dive starts with a mindful sequence that gently guides you through a series of postures and movements, fostering a deeper connection with your body.

YOGA WITH BABY

YANG styled class.

Bring your little one along for some parent-baby bonding and be part of a yoga community of new parents. With 30 mins of yoga for yourself before we follow with yoga, songs and movement for the mini yogis! Postures focus on strengthening abdomen, back and pelvic floor muscles, and releasing tension. Classes are suitable for mothers from 6 weeks after birth and for babies up until crawling.
